Climate change, Environment impact : Why do we always look at complex solutions ?

When we approach the first week of June every year, there will be a lot of buzz among corporates, governments, and several other not for profit organisations. Departments assigned to the Health, Safety and Environment aspect will be focused on conducting seminars and igniting discussions towards conservation, green energy etc. They seek for maximum participation among all stakeholders. Some of them dare to give solutions and guidelines, whereas others highlight what is happening and leave it to the listeners.

Having seen a huge volume of such dedicated exercises; I have started wondering whether we are looking for right solutions or rather implementable solutions.

When we consider most solutions, we can identify the “forceful inclusion” of Environment into the plans. Whereas I opine that we should look for simple solutions, simple solutions which can be implemented across the geographical location.

One of the ideas which comes to my mind is to be the owner of a pet. When you take care of a human being; it becomes out of interdependent necessity, the savage urge of personal benefit – which has been refined and codified into our basic behaviour.

By taking care of a pet, we cover the associated environment and strive to take care of them with care and try to protect the ecosystem suitable to them. A basket of these activities takes care of the environmental conservation we try to bring in to through the seminars and symposiums. Start owning a pet and be ready to witness the change you always want to see on you.
